I think College is a lot better than school as it’s a more grown-up environment – I chose motor mechanics as I like cars and working on them. I came to an open day at the College to help me decide – the facilities looked better here than other Colleges.

I did level 1 last year and progressed to level 2 this year. It’s definitely a step up and I really enjoy it. College is such a big step from secondary school. I've learned how to work in a work environment and have work ethic.

I came to College straight from school – I chose College instead of sixth form as interior design is what I want to do as a future career instead of doing multiple A levels. The work I’m doing is already presenting as my portfolio.

We’ve recently made our own brand from already existing products – e.g. Coca Cola, we’re redesigning and making our own product. We have to make a banner to advertise it as well.

We’re currently learning about programming languages, the difference between them and how they’re developed. We’re also learning how to create our own game using the 3D platform.

Currently we’re setting up computers and putting them in the network and connecting them to the server. My favourite part of the course is definitely all of the practical work that we’ve been doing alongside the theory – it’s been nice to get the experience.
