We’re currently learning about programming languages, the difference between them and how they’re developed. We’re also learning how to create our own game using the 3D platform.

Currently we’re setting up computers and putting them in the network and connecting them to the server. My favourite part of the course is definitely all of the practical work that we’ve been doing alongside the theory – it’s been nice to get the experience.

In class we’re currently doing one of our exam units about all the different roles working within health and social care and what kind of policies and regulations need to be set to make sure patients are getting the right amount of care.

I’ve learned a bit of everything so far like foiling, cutting, colouring, bleaching – a bit of a mix really. My favourite thing so far about the course is doing more advanced things than what I did in level one – I feel that I’m doing more now that I’ve gone up a level, it’s something different every time.

I’m currently learning about colour correction in class – I really enjoy it. My favourite thing I’ve done so far is hair up and colour correction. I chose MidKent as I came to an open event and found it helpful – the teachers are also nice. Whilst being at College I’ve done work experience at a hairdressers in Gillingham.

I chose MidKent due to the proximity to where I live, the course choices and facilities. I came along to an open day and liked what I saw. I am a very creative person so Games Design is a great outlet that I prefer as it’s something I have experience in already and something I want to do in the future.
