I am currently studying IT Level 3. I started on the Level 1 last year and then went straight onto the Level 3 thanks to my grades. I think the jump from the Level 1 onto the Level 3 is quite intense but it’s been good because the teachers give us the support we need.

I moved here a few years ago from Italy, I have been in the UK for three years now and I have managed to get my GCSE’s in English and Maths.  After I have finished my second year of the Level 3 I am looking to go to the University of Kent to study Software Engineering.  So far we have covered databases - we had to create databases and had an exam in January.  We've also covered website development, which was about creating a website and actually coding it. We have also done social media in business, which was about how social media impacts business.

My favourite unit so far has been the website development because it was one of the most interesting for me. I have been working at Invicta Grammar school as an IT technician as part of my work experience, I will have to do the other half next year. I found it very useful as it gives us the experience so that we can look for a better job after we leave College and gives us the chance to put what we learn into practice. I live locally and I chose MidKent as I think it’s one of the best Colleges. To anyone thinking of doing IT I would say it’s a good course to do to start your career, apprenticeship or if you want to go onto University.
