> You will learn through a variety of activities including classroom-based lessons and practical sessions
> All MidKent College students will continue studying English and maths until they are 19, or until they have achieved a Grade C/4. Your study programme will incorporate a Work Placement of up to 350 hours in a role relevant to your study. All students will have access to a Personal Tutor to support their personal and professional development.
The qualification is equivalent to three A Levels and is assessed primarily through a combination of coursework, practical assessments, presentations, and externally assessed units. This approach allows students to demonstrate both their academic understanding and practical abilities.
Students will develop valuable transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, organisation, and self-management, all of which are highly sought after by employers and higher education providers.
Future Prospects
Successful completion of the course can lead to a wide range of progression opportunities, including university degrees in Sport Science, Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Sports Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, Sports Management, and Health and Exercise Science. It also provides a pathway into careers within the sport and leisure industry, including coaching, fitness instruction, sports development, and community sport.
