On 7 March over 200 students from colleges across the county assembled at Canterbury College to test their skills, passion and enthusiasm against each other in a series of sector-based competitions.

On 25 February students from our Travel and Tourism and Business departments completed a rigorous preparation for employment day at the Hilton Hotel Maidstone to ensure they have the vital skills needed.

On Wednesday 13 February MidKent College students tested their skills in the Kent ‘Debating Matters’ competition. This launched in 2003 to offer students the opportunity take part in topical and engaging debates.

Congratulations to Art & Design student Caspian Reynolds who demonstrated the commitment and creative ability required to be entered for the hotly-contested WorldSkills UK competition in Birmingham.

MidKent College hosted the annual CIOB student challenge on 6 February at its University Centre Maidstone. Students competed to design a sustainable and vibrant community within a given part of London.
