The building of a new Fire and Rescue centre in Rochester has given space for a new Road Safety experience, that will provide essential road safety skills for young people.

Schools and Colleges from across Kent can visit to widen their road safety knowledge, and MidKent College students have been helping Kent Fire and Rescue to promote the importance of this.

The Young Voices series has got young people to share their experiences on the road, and their fears. Students from the Gillingham campus outlined what they consider risks on the roads and distractions that can lead to a serious crash.

Every week at least two young people are killed or seriously injured on Kent’s roads, and the students have done a great job working with the service to raise awareness.
