Level 3 Sport and Exercise students took part in a project with the University of Kent. The competition, called ‘Inside Sports Science’ involved carrying out research, generating and analysing data and drawing conclusions from it. The purpose of the competition is to introduce students to key scientific and technological developments in sports and exercise science in a hands-on and accessible manner.

The students had to present their findings exposition style against nine other schools and colleges; The Howard School, Chatham Grammar School for Girls, Brompton Academy, Strood Academy, Marsh Academy, Spires Academy, Swale Sixth Form and Oasis Academy. The presentations were assessed and for the second year running the students from MidKent College team won!

Benjamin Foster Harvey Betts Ciar Cornell Harry Crook Ben Rafferty Freddie Baker Callum Woolridge The Dean of the University of Kent was so impressed with our students that he emailed Principal Simon Cook, to mention that the students demonstrated great skills and had made a notable performance at the competition.
