Children from Chernobyl recently visited MidKent College to take part in two full days of activities and lessons with Health and Social Care students.

Travelling from Ukraine, the students, who are aged between8-12 years old, visit the UK each year for two months, taking the opportunity to learn about another culture and receive healthcare.

The time they spent at MidKent College involved catering, hairdressing and beauty, swimming and spending time on art and crafts projects to send home. The Health and Social Care students built up a great relationship with the group and worked hard to make sure that the trip was as enjoyable as possible.

Beverley Noble, Faculty Director said 'Its a pleasure to have the children and it's great the students support them. They all learn new skills and enjoy it.'
