Lennie is celebrating today after successfully achieving his T Level in Surveying, Planning and Design at MidKent College.
Despite facing challenges with ADHD and finding exams particularly difficult, Lennie's determination, combined with the support of his tutors, peers and family, helped him achieve the grades he was hoping for.
His success marks an important milestone as he takes the next step in his career, having already begun a Pharmacist Apprenticeship.
How are you feeling about your results?
I’m over the moon with how well my exams went, I got the grades I was hoping for, and it’s set me up well for future endeavours.
Were you expecting to get these results, or did they surprise you?
To be honest, no, I wasn’t expecting these results at all. I was hoping for a pass which I managed to achieve. However, because of my ADHD I really struggle with exams so it was a big surprise to myself and my family when I received my results today.
What was your favourite part of your time at MidKent College?
My favourite part of MidKent College was making new friends. I have met amazing people who have different views to myself. Not only has college helped me grow as a person, but I have also made friends who I will have for life.
What are you planning to do next, and what are you most excited about?
My next step is a pharmacist apprenticeship, which I have already started. I enjoy it and have been able to use key skills I learnt at college, including improved time management, teamwork and resilience.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting their course at MidKent College, what would it be?
One important piece of advice I could give to new students joining MidKent College is to never give up, even when things seem difficult. I struggled so much with my exams that I questioned whether this was for me. However, with the support of my tutor and peers, I stuck with it and now have a fantastic qualification.
What do you think helped you achieve the results you got?
It was definitely the people around me supporting me, which helped me achieve my grades.
We’d like to congratulate Lennie on his results and wish him every success as he takes this exciting next step in his career!
