A MidKent College student bricklayer narrowly missed out on a Top 3 place in the Junior national Guild of Bricklayers competition in Leeds on Thursday June 11th 2026.
Nathan who is a Level 2 bricklayer apprentice with Roe Brickwork, Margate, had already won top placed Junior in the regional competition came 4th for the whole of England.
MidKent College’s Lloyd Woodhall, his Industry Training Manager said Nathan learned a lot from taking part. He said: “He was a little disappointed not to get into the Top 3 but has a really professional and mature attitude and is already looking forward to next year’s competition.”
After taking part Nathan said: “I have seen both Junior and Senior drawings here, and will go away and practice some more at college to become better and come back next year to enter the competition as a senior”
