Katie Ellis works at SOAR Trampoline Park, Courteney Road, Gillingham, and is studying for a Level 2 Accounts Finance Assistant apprenticeship with MidKent College.

She takes initiative in their role, consistently showing up on time, paying attention to detail, and giving her best effort in every task. She is eager to absorb knowledge from every experience, she is diligent and asks questions, accepts feedback with humility, and continuously works to improve her skills. Her commitment not only helps her grow professionally but also makes her a valuable asset to any team and workplace. Through her work ethic and determination, she is laying a strong foundation for a successful future in the accounting and finance world. Katie consistently sets ambitious goals for herself that exceed both expectations and the benchmarks set by me and the college, demonstrating a strong drive for excellence and self-motivation. I have no doubt Katie has a bright future. This will be one of many achievements”

Jane Laraman- training officer, Mid Kent College, said: “Katie really deserves this award for her excellent progression throughout her Accounts Finance assistant apprenticeship. She has maintained 100% attendance and pushed herself hard to achieve great exam results. Her motivation and dedication to achieve has stood out through her revision and preparation for exams, continuously meeting targets set of her and her positive attitude to learning.Katie consistently receives positive feedback from both her employer and tutor which is so pleasing to hear. I feel she will develop well through the levels of accountancy due to her having a great role model in her line manager (Lisa) and exposure to different required aspects of her apprenticeship. She should be very proud of herself and is a fantastic example of an apprentice within your organisation. Very well done!”

Katie Ellis said: “I am proud to have been nominated as the apprentice of the month, this nomination has empowered me to continue to work hard. I would like to thank my manager Lisa, as well as Delali and Jane for giving me the support I need throughout my apprenticeship, allowing me to thrive. I look forward to continuing my apprenticeship and working towards a better future.”
