Students from Ichinoseki National College of Technology were welcomed to MidKent College recently as part of a packed two day activity programme.

They travelled from Japan to work with IT and Engineering students at the College's Medway Campus to come up with innovative designs for flotation devices. Despite the language barriers, both the Japanese and British students worked fantastically together and got to know each other throughout the visit.

After this, both Japanese and Medway students visited Delphi Diesel Systems in Gillingham where they were given a tour of the Technical Centre and an insight into UK engineering. The trip was organised by STEM ambassador Karen Scott, and focused on sharing knowledge and inspiration.

It was a busy but exciting couple of days for everyone, and well done to the MidKent College students for their great welcome! Head to our Facebook page to see the pictures.
