Jack Martin, who is a Carpentry and Joinery apprentice works for AT Palmer Ltd of Smarden near Ashford in Kent.
Congratulating him, Tom Winder, Contracts Manager, AT Palmer Ltd, said: “Since Jack began his apprenticeship, he has become an important member of the AT Palmer team.
He has a fantastic opportunity on the site he is working at, and we are very proud to have Jack representing AT Palmer at MidKent College. Jack is a very mature young man who no doubt has a very bright future ahead of him at AT Palmer.”
Chris Dolan, MidKent College apprentice trainer, said: “Jack has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, arriving on time and prepared for both college sessions and practical work. He has consistently shown excellent practical hand skills, particularly in areas such as Health & Safety knowledge and understanding, accurate measuring, safe use of hand and power tools, maintaining a tidy and safe working environment and very good, submitted site-based portfolio evidence.
“Jack has also displayed a positive attitude towards learning, taking feedback from tutors, and applying it effectively to improve his work. His willingness to support peers and communicate professionally both within a classroom and workshop environment reflects a mature and responsible approach to the trade. This award recognises not only his technical ability, but also reliability, safety awareness, and professionalism - qualities essential for a successful career in carpentry.”
Jack said: “Thank you very much for selecting me for this award, it really means a lot. I feel my course is going very well, especially at work. I owe all I have learnt and achieved to my mentor, colleagues and AT Palmer as a whole.”
