Harry Green, who is a second-year Carpentry apprentice, works for Essex-based Comprehensive Carpentry Services.
Congratulating him, Bill Nicols, managing director, Comprehensive Carpentry Services, “Harry has been a great addition to the team since joining us. He is a fast learner, always keen to get involved and has a very good attitude towards his work. He listens well, takes on board what he is shown and is always looking to improve and learn more. Most importantly, he is a genuinely good lad, gets on well with everyone on site and has become a valued member of the team. We’re really pleased with the progress he has made so far.”
David Cripps, MidKent College Carpentry assessor, said: “I have had the pleasure of supporting Harry through his first year. Over this time, he has maintained a good standard of work and maintained good communication arranging site reviews with employers. He has completed all work within a realistic time. He has a good manner and is always polite.”
Harry said: “My apprenticeship has given me valuable hands-on experience in woodworking, construction, and the use of a wide range of tools and equipment. During my apprenticeship, I have developed practical skills in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing timber components while learning the importance of accuracy, safety, and attention to detail. It has also helped me build confidence, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of professional standards within the carpentry trade.”
