Fundraising at Palace to Palace A 10-strong team of staff and friends from MidKent College took part in the Palace to Palace charity cycle ride on Sunday 5 October.

They cycled the 45 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle for The Prince’s Trust in memory of Sue McLeod, former principal of the College. Sue sadly passed away in July from a brain tumour. She was great supporter and advocate for young people and the Prince’s Trust was a charity close to her heart. The team have so far raised over £3,000.

The team were supported by other staff from the college and by Lucy McLeod, Sue’s daughter, and her partner, Alan Mash.

“After some intense training, our hard work paid off and we definitely came together as a team!” said Susan Byrne, who suggested the cycle.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us and kept us motivated.

“We’re already planning for next year’s cycle as it’s such a great cause for us.”

If you would like to support the MidKent College cyclists please donate by logging on to www.justgiving.com and search for Mid Kent Maca’s. Your contributions to The Prince’s Trust will go towards supporting programmes for young people to develop the confidence and skills needed in education and employment.
