Earlier this month we were pleased to welcome Councillors from Maidstone Borough Council to the Maidstone Campus for a tour of the facilities and to discuss the positive contribution that the College has on the local community.

As part of a guided tour of the recently refurbished campus, Councillor Fay Gooch, Councillor Malcom McKay, and Councillor Annabelle Blackmore visited our industry-standard training facilities and talked with students about how the College is preparing them for their future careers. They also enjoyed a preview tour of the College’s new higher education centre which will open later this year to offer university-level programmes and professional qualifications, before enjoying lunch prepared by our Hospitality and Catering students.

Simon Cook, Principal, said “It is always a pleasure to welcome our local Councillors to the campus. Maidstone Borough Council is a key strategic partner for the College. Our priority is to ensure that the programmes we offer to students meet the requirements of our local economy, and working with the council helps us to achieve this aim, helping our community to gain the skills that employers look for. We look forward to welcoming our local councillors back to the College for the opening of our new dedicated higher education building later this year.”
