On Tuesday 23 June, MidKent College welcomed students, staff and guests to a Student Awards ceremony, recognising the outstanding achievements and contributions of learners from both its Maidstone and Medway campuses.
Held at The Glassbox Theatre on the Medway Campus, the evening brought together finalists from 15 award categories for a celebration of success and dedication. Guests enjoyed refreshments and live performances from the College's talented Performing Arts students before the winners were revealed during an Oscar-inspired awards presentation.
Nominations were submitted by College staff earlier in the year, highlighting students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, progress and achievement. A judging panel then reviewed the entries and selected finalists and one overall winner in each category.
Principal and Chief Executive Simon Cook said: "Our Student Awards ceremony is a special opportunity to recognise and celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our students. Every nominee has shown determination, resilience and a real commitment to their studies and personal development. It is incredibly rewarding to see so many talented individuals being recognised alongside their families, friends and the staff who have supported them throughout their journey. We are immensely proud of all of our finalists and winners and look forward to seeing what they go on to achieve in the future."
