MidKent College was celebrating the achievement of our distance learners yesterday who achieved a 92% pass rate on the Learning Curve courses.

This was a pilot scheme with six courses being offered; Understanding Autism, Working with people with Mental Health needs, Principles of Care Planning, Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health and Social Care, Principles of Team Leading and Equality and Diversity. The courses were offered to internal candidates and a wide range of employers in the local area within the health and social care sector.

The inductions took place both on-site across both of the College campus’ but also at external company premises. The students and their line managers were invited to the event by the College's Business Services team in collaboration with NCFE (Awarding Organisation) and Learning Curve where certificates were given out by Jacqui Brown, head of Business Services, and Yvonne Eaves, business development officer for NCFE.

Jeanine Buckley, key accounts co-ordinator at MidKent College said: "We're so proud of all of the students involved and wish them luck in their future careers. We are keen to be involved in the development of the health and social care industry in our local area, and will support this in any way we can."
