Level 3 Business Students from MidKent College have worked with the Gravesend and Northfleet Local Committee to raise over £1000 for Cancer Research, by helping to host a charity event at Shorne Country Park.

The event, which involved a 1km or 5km walk, 3km cycle and 1km or 5km run, was held in Gravesend to raise funds that will go towards research and treatment for those living with cancer. There was an opportunity for a huge breakfast and some people even dressed up for the occasion.

Students at the College regularly take part in fundraising to raise awareness for both local and national charities. It offers an opportunity for growing their skills alongside their programmes, as well as supporting those who need it most.

The day was a great success and the total raised by the students currently sits at £ 1328.12!
