Mature student Xiajuan Lin is celebrating after achieving strong A-level results.
Xiajuan has secured a place to study for an online degree in Mathematics and Economics with the University of London later this year.
The results mark the culmination of a two-year journey that began when Xiajuan returned to education as a mature student at MidKent College.
Speaking about the achievement, Xiajuan said "I am delighted to share my results. With them, I can now complete my application for the online degree program in Mathematics and Economics with The University of London in order to study later this year."
Xiajuan praised MidKent College for the opportunity to pursue A-levels as a mature student, and thanked the tutors for their support throughout the course.
"I am extremely grateful to MidKent College for opening the door for me to study A-levels as a mature student two years ago. I am also thankful to my tutors for welcoming me into their classes and supporting me every step of the way. I will cherish this journey as I study for my degree over the next three years."
Xiajuan hopes this journey will encourage others to consider returning to education, regardless of age or background "I hope that my experience inspires other mature students to pursue learning, regardless of their age or background."
