Travel assistance is only available to students whose income is:

  • £34,000 or under - in this case they will receive help for travel only
  • Under £32,000 - in this case they may also be eligible for help with materials and UK trips in addition to travel

Students must also live more than 1.5 miles from the campus where they study. This distance is measured using the walking directions provided by Google Maps – from the postcode of the student's registered address to the co-ordinates of our pedestrian entrances.

Travel passes will be issued daily/termly and are subject to attendance of 90% and above and dependant on your curriculum timetable.

By train

If rail travel is the preferred option a travel warrant will be issued to you by the Student Finance Hub. To be able to exchange the travel warrant for a season ticket you must provide one passport sized photograph and take this with you to the railway station. This will not be needed for daily tickets. Destinations will determine whether a daily or season warrant will be issued, this will be specified on the warrant for the route that you are taking.
