In theory we’re currently learning about cold water systems and in practical we do a mix of everything. I most enjoy doing the practical work – we put up radiators and now we’re putting toilets together and connecting them to a valve.
I chose MidKent as it’s easy for me to get to. My tutor helped me find work experience in plumbing. I feel that my tutor has helped prepare me caree- wise as we get stuck straight into everything – on my first day we installed radiators, it’s more hands-on which I think helps get you prepared quicker.
After this course I want to be a gas engineer. I would recommend this course to other students. I applied for Level 1 at first as I thought they would expect me to already know some bits – I come into this course completely blind without knowing anything and now I feel really confident.
