You may have seen media reports of a meningococcal disease outbreak in Kent.  No one from our College has become unwell as part of the outbreak.

I’ve learned a bit of everything so far like foiling, cutting, colouring, bleaching – a bit of a mix really. My favourite thing so far about the course is doing more advanced things than what I did in level one – I feel that I’m doing more now that I’ve gone up a level, it’s something different every time.

I started at level one and worked my way up through the levels. I chose MidKent as it’s local, I’ve heard good things about it and my family came here before me. I also came to an open day which I found helpful in getting more familiar with the layout and knowing where I would need to go.

I’ve had work experience in a hair salon – I started out doing more basic things but as I’ve gone up the levels in College I’ve moved on to washing hair, foils, etc.

My tutors give us a lot of feedback, lots of notes. After this course I want to go mobile first to build clientele and then have my own salon.

I would recommend this course to other students.
