I think College is a lot better than school as it’s a more grown-up environment – I chose motor mechanics as I like cars and working on them. I came to an open day at the College to help me decide – the facilities looked better here than other Colleges.

So far, we’ve done oil changes, brakes, tyre pressures, emissions tests, services, internal inspections. We have covered a lot. I enjoy it all – just being in the garage and working on the cars I enjoy.

After I’ve completed the level 2, I’m thinking of doing the level 3 but as an apprenticeship – I want to work for a car dealership.

I think the tutors are great, they’re always there to help. For anyone thinking about coming to College next year I would recommend MidKent, the tutors are really nice here, it’s a really good place to be.
