You may have seen media reports of a meningococcal disease outbreak in Kent.  No one from our College has become unwell as part of the outbreak.

I am studying the Level 1 in Motor Vehicle and this is my first year at College. I decided on College instead of sixth form as I think the training will be much better.

When I was younger, I had an interest in cars so wanted to continue with that. I came to an open day and saw the facilities and was very impressed.

So far we have learnt about tyres, such as safety and how to change a tyre, deal with a puncture and how to balance a wheel. We’ve learnt about brakes and brake pads, and now we are doing how to do a car service. I really enjoy learning about car servicing.

At the moment I come into College three days a week and I work in a garage for three days a week, so am able to carry on with my learning. My tutors are helpful; they are able to help if you have any questions as they understand the area. I think at College you get more 1:1 teaching rather than at school and you get treated more like an adult. Hopefully after a few years studying you can go on to make your future and get a job.
