Course Description

This course allows students to study a broad range of topics within the business and travel and tourism industry. It will equip them with practical vocational skills such as communication and teamwork - as well as studying a variety of other subjects including business culture and responsibilities, contributing to running a project and customer service. Each unit will focus on different aspects of business within the travel sector.

The awarding body for this programme is NCFE.

You will learn through case studies, practical activities, group discussions, research and classwork exercises. You will have the opportunity to visit businesses within the travel and tourism sector and engage with guest speakers and employers.

Future Prospects

All students could progress to a level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism or Level 3 Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. The options of progressing onto other levels or other courses will be dependent on meeting course requirements. Your tutor will advise you of your options.

Entry Requirements

You will need either five GCSEs at grade 3/D including English and maths or a full qualification at level 1, which should include some units at level 2. You will also be required to attend an interview and demonstrate your suitability for this programme.
