Course Description

The Level 2 Diploma in Performing & Production Arts is a triple threat course including dancing, acting and singing. There are 10 coursework units all of which are internally assessed culminating in a Final Major Project at the end of the year.

You will study a wide range of units including; Introduction to performing arts and production, Introduction to research, Production development, and Performance development

Other Important Information

This qualification is all internally assessed through written and practical work, including performances in front of live audiences.

You will be required to wear black dance clothes, including tracksuit bottoms and tshirt. You will need ballet, tap and jazz shoes.

Future Prospects

Many of our students progress on to level 3 to give themselves a better chance of entering this highly competitive industry.

Careers within acting and musical theatre not only include acting for stage and screen but also directing, scriptwriting, teaching and lots more.

Careers in dance are varied but can include becoming a professional dancer, singer, choreographer, dance therapist, community dance worker and more.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English or maths at grade D/3 or above.
