You will gain experience of multi-track studio recording, recording live bands, mixing live performances and producing your own original music. You will learn sound design techniques and how to create professional music productions in response to industry-style briefs.
You will gain skills that prepare you for working in the music industry such as:
How to plan, carry out and finish a music project. You will learn to critically analyse music through developing technical vocabulary giving you the confidence to articulate yourself in professional discussions.
By the end of the course, you will have developed a professional portfolio of work showcasing your recording, production, mixing and live sound skills, helping you stand out when applying for university or employment.
Throughout the course, you will work on real-world projects, develop professional working practices and build the communication, collaboration and project management skills valued throughout the music and creative industries.

Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English and maths at grade 4/C or above.
