Course Description

This Level 3 Apprenticeship has been designed to support those who work in the construction and built environment sector, engaging in various roles such as estimating, planning, and site management across diverse projects like industrial, residential, and public sector constructions.

Employed by both large and small contractors, these technicians operate in dynamic environments, utilising digital processes to support project progression. They develop transferable skills and collaborate with professional teams, ensuring construction activities meet quality standards and timelines while communicating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

An employee in this role supports construction teams by managing digital project information using industry-standard software. They facilitate communication with site and technical teams during various project phases, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

The employee analyses and produces contract documents for effective construction operations and addresses any issues proactively, using their initiative to resolve problems as they arise.

Future Prospects

Completing a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Construction Support Technician opens the door to a wide range of career opportunities across the construction industry. It provides a strong mix of technical knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing you to support project teams with planning, coordination, documentation, and health and safety responsibilities.

This role places you right at the core of how construction projects operate - whether that’s in residential, commercial, or large-scale infrastructure work. You gain practical skills that are highly valued on site and by employers across the sector.

The apprenticeship also creates a clear pathway for progression. Many use it as a stepping stone into supervisory roles or to continue their development through higher-level qualifications, such as the Level 4 construction apprenticeships.
