Course Description

This is a two-year T Level course designed to enable you to become a fully qualified Early Years Educator upon successful completion. Alternatively, you may choose to progress to university, as this qualification carries UCAS tariff points equivalent to three A Levels.

The course is recognised as a licence to practise and is included on the Ofsted ‘full and relevant’ list.

You will be required to complete and pass four examinations. Our experienced teaching staff will provide you with the knowledge and support needed to succeed.

A mandatory element of the course is the completion of a minimum of 750 hours in an Early Years work placement, giving you valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Other Important Information

Technical equipment will be provided however, students may need to purchase text books.

Students are required to wear a uniform of smart black jeans or trousers and a black polo shirt available to purchase through the department's supplier.

This is a two year straight through course - you cannot gain the license to practice if you do not complete all elements.

Future Prospects

Completion of this course will enable you to progress into practice as a fully qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator.

Please note that you will also need to complete a paediatric first aid qualification, which is typically available towards the end of the two-year course.

Alternatively, you may choose to progress to university to train as a teacher or to specialise within the Early Years and Education sector.

Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs grade 4s or above including maths and English. Science is desirable for those wishing to become a teacher in the future.
