Entry Requirements

To apply for the Level 4 Lead Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship, candidates must already hold either a full level 3 qualification, or 3 A Levels. Candidates must be aged 18 and above to join this standard.

Secure employment: Have an employer in place who is committed to supporting them throughout the apprenticeship.

Work hours: Be employed full-time, working a minimum of 30 hours per week, and be on the company’s PAYE scheme.

Educational qualifications: Ideally hold a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above. If candidates do not hold maths and English at grade 4/C or above, they will be required to complete Functional Skills qualifications alongside their apprenticeship.
