Course Description

You will spend most of your week working in a customer service role providing a high-quality service in the workplace, digitally, or in the customers’ localities. You will also come to College occasionally to build on your work-based learning.

This Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship covers a range topics, such as delivering reliable customer service, resolving customer service problems and developing personal performance and work towards developing your skills and knowledge in preparation for the end-point assessment.

Customer Service apprentices often work at the front end of a business. Regularly assisting customers, they are vital to business success. Duties will vary between sectors, but in most cases you will be making sure that customers are dealt with in a positive, reliable and pleasant way - whether that is by offering advice, answering questions or handling complaints.

You will develop:
> Customer service skills
> Knowledge and responsibilities involved in coordinating customer service teams
> Current legislation that impacts on those in a working customer service environment

Other Important Information

The end-point assessment will consist of three elements – apprentice showcase, practical observation and professional discussion.

Entry Requirements

To apply for the Level 2 Customer Services Practioner Apprenticeship, candidates must:

Secure employment: Have an employer in place who is committed to supporting them throughout the apprenticeship.

Work hours: Be employed full-time, working a minimum of 30 hours per week, and be on the company’s PAYE scheme.

Educational qualifications: Ideally hold a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above (or equivalent). If candidates do not hold maths and English at grade 4/C or above, they will be required to complete Functional Skills qualifications alongside their apprenticeship.

Pre-employment checks: Successfully complete a scope of work review to ensure your job role aligns with the apprenticeship requirements, a skills scan, and initial assessments in maths and English.
