Hello, my name is Amazing Grace Oseyenum, and my experience at MidKent College was truly amazing - no pun intended!
My journey with MidKent College began in a unique way. I secured my first job straight after my course interview, as I needed work experience. That moment set the tone for the opportunities and confidence the College would go on to give me.
I studied Information Communication Technology (Level 3) at MidKent College from September 2022 and graduated in June 2024. During my time here, I not only enjoyed the supportive learning environment but also had the privilege of serving as Student Union President and Student Governor. These roles allowed me to represent my peers, work closely with staff, and develop leadership and communication skills that complemented my studies.
One of the things I valued most was the strong sense of community. From tutors to support staff, everyone was approachable and genuinely invested in our success, both academically and personally. This made it easier to step out of my comfort zone and try new things.
After leaving MidKent College, which I knew was not the end of my journey, I secured an apprenticeship role almost immediately within the College. This opportunity is yet another example of the incredible pathways MidKent provides for its students. I am still in this role today and look forward to building many more opportunities within the College community, as I’m certainly not ready to close these doors.
Looking back, MidKent College gave me far more than a qualification. It gave me a sense of belonging, confidence, and countless opportunities to grow. I learned the importance of resilience, teamwork, and self-belief. Balancing coursework with leadership responsibilities and collaborating with diverse groups shaped me into a more adaptable and ambitious person.
I am grateful for my time at MidKent College and excited for what the future holds!
