Equality & diversity

At MidKent College diversity is an integral part of our work to teach, train and serve our local community.

Diversity, equality and inclusion are fundamental to achieving our vision of providing first rate teaching. At MidKent College we want you to succeed - as a student, apprentice, or member of staff - and our climate of respect, fair treatment and opportunity for all will help support your aspirations. MidKent College serves as an important testing ground; a place where personal experience trumps stereotypes and diversity opens new doors.

Equality goes well beyond physical access and numeric representation. Far from simply enriching College life or the academic experience; diversity is part of our culture and fundamental to everything we do at MidKent College.

Who are MidKent College?

Here at MidKent College you will find an inclusive and engaging team of staff who support a vibrant and diverse student body. We are far more than numbers and demographics - we are chefs, engineers, graphic designers, hospitality professionals, to name a few!

MidKent College is proud to hold the Investors in Diversity award (2009 - present). During our recent Investors in Diversity inspection, 95% of staff said they feel valued by colleagues, and 92% of students said they feel there is fairness for all at MidKent College.

Our equality partnerships

At MidKent College we seek out partnerships from across our sector and community in order to strengthen the services we provide.
