Until the end of 2015, Martin Cook was the Commercial Managing Partner with EY UK (formerly Ernst and Young).  Martin’s broader career  has spanned public and private sectors and ranged from being a senior civil servant in the Home Office, to the CEO of a  £1bn turnover IT business. and the strategy and transformation director at a global IT services company, Capgemini,  as well as being a senior Partner at EY.

Currently, Martin is a lay member of the Council of the University of Kent, a Trustee of Turner Contemporary in Margate, and a NED for InteractiveMe, a company specialising in innovative products supporting dementia care, based in East Kent.  He was previously Chair of the the Kent Investment Network, an angel investment group, and an NED at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Martin has a lifelong and personal commitment to the cause of improving the life chances of young people through education. He has strong connections to  Kent having lived here for nearly 40 years.
