Angela is currently Director of Strategy, Insight, and Governance, Deputy Monitoring Officer and Returning Officer at Maidstone Borough Council.
Angela leads a number of services in her current role including democratic and electoral services, customer services, communication and engagement, policy and information governance, mid kent planning support services, biodiversity and climate change, health and executive and corporate support.
She is passionate about good governance and is responsible for producing the Council’s annual governance statement as the lead officer for corporate governance at the Council. She has worked at several local authorities since starting as an Overview and Scrutiny Officer at Dover in 2002.
Outside of work Angela enjoys running, dog walking, theatre, spending time with family and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
Angela is the Interim Chair of MidKent College's Governing Body, effective from August 2024.
