Sally joined MidKent College in September 2020 to study Photography at our Maidstone Campus. During her two years on the course, Sally immersed herself in both the creative and academic sides of photography, crediting her tutor, Paul Wicks, with inspiring her to pursue a future in the creative industry.
Reflecting on her time at MidKent, Sally says she “thoroughly enjoyed” her experience and is grateful not only for the skills she developed, but also for the friendships she formed, many of which she still maintains today.
After completing her course in June 2022, Sally progressed to Canterbury Christ Church University to study for a BA (Hons) in Photography. She recently graduated in September with a First Class Honours degree, an achievement she describes as something she is “beyond proud of.”
Sally credits MidKent for giving her a strong foundation, saying that the technical and academic skills she gained here made her transition to university smooth and successful. She remains particularly thankful for Paul’s “amazing teaching” and the confidence it gave her moving forward.
With a First Class degree and a passion for the creative industry, Sally is excited to continue building her career in photography, taking forward the inspiration and confidence she gained during her time at MidKent College.
