When Heidi joined MidKent College, she was shy, quiet, and lacked confidence due to a difficult time in secondary school. Trusting others and fitting in felt like a big challenge.

Support and encouragement

With the help of her tutors and LSAs, Heidi began to open up. Their constant support, advice, and belief in her made a huge difference. Slowly, she started building confidence and becoming more social.

“They always believed in me and supported me when I needed it most.”

Looking ahead

Heidi describes her time at MidKent as one of the best years of her life. It was a turning point that empowered her to believe in herself and embrace new opportunities. She credits the support and encouragement from MidKent as the foundation of her transformation.

Heidi now attends a college on a farm, working with animals and learning life skills, something she never imagined doing before.

“My confidence keeps growing. MidKent gave me one of the best years of my life.”
