Students honour Armistice Day with special parade
MidKent College Public Services students hosted their own parade on 11th November to honour all those who have fought in wars for Great Britain.
Taking place at both the Maidstone and Medway campuses, students began by creating a huge poppy and planting flowers to remember the fallen. Poems were read out and Level 2 Public Services students, along with pupils from Brompton Westbrook Primary, Oasis Academy Skinner Street, and Burnt Oak Primary, proudly stood to lead spectators in the two minute silence.
The Royal British Legion were also fundraising at the Medway campus, bringing their mascot and selling poppies and other merchandise to raise funds that will support veterans and those in the armed forces.
The morning was a great success with hundreds turning up to pay their respects.
