Reconnect with having fun this summer

After a year of staying in, it's time to get out there and reconnect with the things you've missed over the past 12 months. There are lots of fun activities and events going on across the county, so find something that interests you and have fun!

The following are arranged and funded through Kent County Council, and only available to Kent residents (not those who live in a Medway postcode).

Free bus travel

Young people aged 11-18 can travel for free by bus from 22 July to 31 August.

You can use the pass every day throughout the summer holidays on all Stagecoach and Arriva routes in Kent and on Kent County Council supported bus services.

Passes can only be used on journeys that start and finish in Kent. You cannot use it for services that start in or operate in Medway, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey or the Transport for London area.

Pride Event

A Pride event for young people (aged 13-17) will be held in Kent on 4 September.

It will take place in an outdoor venue (location to be confirmed), and there will be guest speakers, games, sports, drag workshops, food stands, chances to learn about the support available and more.

The event is run by the BeYou Project (part of the charity Porchlight) which provides safe spaces and support for LGBT+ young people in Kent.
