Continuing your learning at home.
With the government’s “lockdown” guidance now firmly in place and college closed, you may feel worried about your learning and unsure about how you can continue your studies at home.
If you can, try to work somewhere quiet and away from other members of the household. Put aside time each day to focus on your studies, making sure you take regular breaks.
If you are a current student at MidKent, your tutors will have been in touch with details regarding your particular study programme. In addition to this our LRC Study Advisors have put together some more general information on where and how you can access the online resources you need to help you.
The LRC Moodle page is a good place to start – log in here: https://moodle.midkent.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=1210
From there you will find links to hundreds of eBooks which are accessible from home – just enter your usual username and password to access. Also on Moodle you can access the following:
- Help with study skills
- Digital skills help
- Course related TV programmes
There is also some great content for vocational learners on Jisc. These resources have been made open and freely available to everyone during the school/college closures.

Don’t forget that all of our support services are still available for you to access during the closure and you can contact your department directly too.
