Community and Skills Hub to be launched in Maidstone

In Spring 2022 MidKent College will be launching a new Community and Skills Hub in the Mall, Maidstone.

Designed to support young people and adults not in employment, education or training, the Hub will also help to contribute to the economic prosperity of the local area.

The College will be working with partners including Infozone, CXK, Porchlight, Open Road and Bemix, to provide a central base for different training, advice and support services for the local area.

MidKent College will be offering courses in the following from the Hub:

  • Bookkeeping and computerised accounting (in conjunction with SAGE)
  • Certificated Work Skills Programmes
  • Employability
  • Essential Digital Skills
  • Food Hygiene
  • Skills Development Online Courses

Chris Hare, Executive Director for Employers and Corporate Services at MidKent College said:

“The new Community and Skills Hub in the Mall is a positive development for the community of Maidstone and will not only boost our regional economy but help to source local jobs for local people.
