College launches interior design courses

Fancy yourself as the next Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen or Linda Barker?

The good news if you do is that MidKent College will soon be launching new short evening courses in Interior Design.

Starting in January, the first 10-week course is aimed at beginners who will study towards a City & Guilds Award in Interior Design (Bedroom and Bathroom).

Those who successfully complete the course have the option to progress to a further 10-week course geared towards the design of lounges and office space.

MidKent College lecturer Ellie Bentley said: “The courses will be fun and very ‘hands-on’.

“They are for anyone interested in interior design, whether you’re a budding professional designer or someone who just wants some creative ideas for your bedroom.”

The courses will be run by the Decorative Occupations team at MidKent College’s Maidstone Campus.
