Full-time higher education applications

All applications for full-time higher education courses at MidKent College should be made through UCAS, ideally by the closing date of 15th January 2019. We may still consider applications if you apply for a course between 16th January and 30th June 2019, but this would be dependent on the number of spaces available.

How do I complete a UCAS application?

Detailed instructions for completing your UCAS application are supplied with the form and are available on the UCAS website. You'll find the relevant UCAS code for the course, along with the MidKent College code, on the relevant course pages.

If you're applying through a school or the College, you'll need to find out their UCAS 'buzz word' first before you can apply.

What happens if I submit my application after the UCAS deadline?

We will still consider applications if you apply for a course between 16th January and 30th June 2019, but any offer would be dependent on the number of spaces available.

If you submit your application after 30th June 2019, you will be entered into Clearing. Further information on the Clearing process can be found here.

What happens after I submit my application?

  • UCAS will send you a welcome letter after your application has been processed.
  • You can monitor the progress of your application using the UCAS track system
  • We assess your application against our entry requirements, all of which can be found on the course pages/prospectus.
  • Your offer will either be unconditional or conditional depending on your achieving the entry requirements for the course.
  • UCAS will inform you of our decision and if you receive an offer from the College you must accept or decline it through the UCAS track system.
  • Depending on the course you have applied for, you may be invited for an interview.
  • Once you've received decisions from all of your chosen universities, UCAS will give you a deadline in order to decide on your top two choices.
  • If you don't decide by the given deadline, UCAS will automatically set all offers to 'decline' for you.
