Josef Kelman - Level 2 in Motor Vehicle
Last year I started at MidKent College studying Art, but I decided it wasn’t for me. I came back this year on Motor Vehicle and find it really good.
We are learning about engines, servicing, springs, brakes plus all the theory behind it. We do written work as well as practicals in the workshop.
I work three days per week on my industry placement which really helps and gives me the chance to put what I am learning at College into practice.
Once I’ve finished on this programme, I’d like to continue studying and working on an apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle.
I enjoy the practicals the most – I’m quite hands-on.
If you are thinking of doing the programme, you do need to take it seriously. Some people do English and maths alongside their programme, but I already have the right grades. You do need a good level of maths for the programme.
