Study your A-Levels at MidKent College
A Levels
Due to popular demand, in September 2023 we're proud to reintroduce A Levels at our Maidstone Campus.
Why? Because every year we're approached by young people and their families looking to study academic A Levels in a different environment, particularly in one which promotes independence, and career preparation and can provide a wide range of access to resources and support already available to College students of all ages and levels. By reintroducing an A Level offer, the College aims to provide a bridge between the more traditional school environment and university and/or adult professional life.
A Level students will study three subjects over two years full-time at our Maidstone campus.
Our supportive lecturers are dedicated to helping you achieve the grades you need in order to progress onto university or employment.
Subjects
We recognise that young people already have access to a range of A Level subjects, so our subject offer is based upon ensuring we provide a broad range of subjects to support a wide variety of pathways both for students who have clear destination aims in mind and those who are still deciding on their future goals and want to keep their options open. In either case, the College will discuss your individual subject choices with you, both at the interview and when you start, to ensure that you have chosen appropriate subjects to be successful and to support your individual aims.
Subjects planned for offer at MidKent College for 2023-24 academic year are:
- English Literature
- Law
- Business
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Politics
- Maths
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Photography
- Media
The breadth of subjects offered is always based on student demand. Students applying for A Levels should specify which three subjects they would like to study, and we'll discuss these with you at interview.
Future prospects for A Level students
A Levels provide a recognised route into higher education and a wide range of career opportunities, including apprenticeships. A higher education course could be your first step to a full degree course at university, offering you increased earning power and career prospects. Full details of our higher education courses are available under the relevant 'Subject areas' page here on the website.
