The Details
The HNC in Mechanical Engineering is a unique course designed to meet the demands of the 21st century and address the shortfall of trained engineers.
Graduates will be in a position to make a valuable contribution to the industry upon successful completion of the programme, having developed the analytical, research and design skills essential in today's marketplace.
You will study a total of eight modules - four mandatory and four optional, depending on your individual needs and interests.

Successful completion could lead to employment or promotion within the engineering sector as an engineering technician, project/design engineer, or in systems commissioning/ applications. You may also progress to a foundation degree or full degree course.

You will need one of the following:
Mature candidates who do not meet the above criteria may still be admitted to the course subject to an interview with the programme director. The interview includes an admissions test for English and maths.
