The test is a practical assessment with a short online component, taken over 16.5 hours in total and comprises:
A1 - Safe Isolation and Risk Assessment (1 hour)
A - Composite Installation (8.5 hours)
B - Inspection and Testing (3.5 hours)
C - Fault Diagnosis (2.5 hours)
D - Assessment of Applied Knowledge (1 hour online test)Other Important Info
We suggest that, to enhance the chance of success in the AM2, attendance at a preliminary intensive revision course should be encouraged about two weeks before sitting the test
You will be assessed by a series of timed practical assessments and a multiple choice examinationFuture Prospects

Entry Requirements
Students must have achieved a pass in the Level 3 Electrical Technical Certificate.
