The Details

Build a strong foundation for working life by enrolling on one of our Construction Crafts courses. Ideal for school-leavers or mature students who wish to learn a trade!

Whether your prefer painting and decorating, carpentry/bench joinery or brickwork/masonry, you will learn the skills required to get your career off the ground and onto the building site.

Units including health and safety, employment rights and responsibilities and more will also be covered.

  • The College is home to well-equipped workshops and classrooms to accommodate both practical and theory lessons
  • You will be continually assessed throughout the course to ensure you are coping
  • You will be encouraged to seek work experience so you can practice the skills learned on the course
  • This is a study programme which includes English, maths and work experience in addition to your main programme

    Future Prospects

    Students who complete this course may have the opportunity to progress onto qualifications at level 2 and 3 subject to suitability, attendance record, attitude etc. Alternatively, they may be able to secure an apprenticeship or employment (with training) in their trade of choice.

    Entry Requirements

    A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 2/F or above, including English or maths.
