Earn while you learn on an apprenticeship with the College! This nationally recognised standard will provide you with the skills, experience and knowledge you need to progress in your chosen career. Your apprenticeship framework will include a combination of on-the-job training, studying for your qualification at College and maths, English and possibly ICT depending on the framework and any prior GCSEs. This course will build upon the knowledge you learnt in the level 2 programme, teaching you more about accounts, financial information and the software needed to make you efficient in your role. It includes six units:

Costs & Revenues
Indirect Tax (VAT)
Professional Ethics (apprentice students who have studied this at Level 2 will not need to re-take the unit)
Six of the units are assessed by way of online supervised exams, authorised and assessed by the AAT. One unit is assessed by way of an online assignment, which will be marked by your tutors and then sent to the AAT.
Other Important Info The lessons are a great combination of theory and practical work
Homework is set each week to be handed in and assessed by your tutor
You will need to have AAT registration or renewal of membership (payable directly to the AAT)

Any re-sits will be charged at the fee set by the AAT at the time
Successful students will be able to progress onto the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting; ATT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
You could train in roles like:
Trainee accounting technician
Students need to have the following: Successful completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship
Employment within the sector with a contract of employment for at least 30 hours per week
A good standard of education with 5 GCSEs at A-C / 9-4 including maths and English (or equivalent)
Satisfactory completion of the college initial assessment
